Financial Aid Process at ATS

To apply for financial aid, follow these steps:

  1. Apply for admission to Alliance Theological Seminary.
  2. Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Remember to list Nyack College Graduate Division/Alliance Theological Seminary as your first choice on the FAFSA.  Our Title IV school code is 002790.
  3. Complete the ATS General Scholarship Application and submit it to the Office of Student Services, or, if you're a new student, to the Office of Admissions.
  4. You will receive the Student Aid Report (SAR) from federal processors (about 4-6 weeks for a mailed-in FAFSA; about 2 weeks for a FAFSA filed on the web).  Verify the information is correct and if so, retain for your records.  Carefully read the cover sheet of the SAR, as it often sites incorrect or missing information that you will need to submit before we can process your financial aid.

Normally you can expect to receive an award notification letter from us about two weeks after all necessary materials related to your application have been received in our office.  If you qualify for financial aid, and you accept, it will be automatically applied to your account after registration.

At ATS, we're dedicated to help you receive all the financial aid funds for which you qualify.  We welcome your questions as well as the opportunity to assist you with any aspect of the application process.  If you need forms, ask the Office of Student Services or the Office of Admissions.
