Bible Deptartment Faculty Profiles
Elio Cuccaro has been teaching at Nyack since 1977. He has a B.S. from Cornell University, an M.Div. and S.T.M from Biblical School of Theology and a Ph.D. from Drew University. He has an active ministry with the Salvation Army in Suffern, NY. Elio teaches Bible Doctrines and Christian Worldview. He also teaches many of our systematic theology electives and the four-course sequence in the history of theology. He serves as the editor of Alliance Academic Review. He enjoys gardening and landscaping. He is a member of Simpson Memorial Church in Nyack, NY and is married with two grown children.
Amy Davis has been teaching at Nyack since 2002. She has a B.S. from Grove City College, an M.Div. from Alliance Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in liturgical studies at Drew University. She served for several years as a teacher in Paraguay and is fluent in Spanish. Amy teaches Old Testament Literature, New Testament Literature and Bible Doctrines. She also teaches Genesis, Jeremiah & Ezekiel, Acts and 1 & 2 Corinthians. Amy also serves as our Israel trip coordinator. She enjoys travel, hiking and camping, and attends Risen King Alliance Church in New City, NY.
Frank Chan has been teaching at Nyack since 1999 and has been serving as Department Head since 2005. He has a B.A. from Wheaton College, an M.A. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Ph.D. from Westminster Theological Seminary. He is an active member of the Evangelical Theological Society. Frank teaches Christian Foundations, Old Testament Literature and New Testament Literature. He also teaches Romans, Synoptic Gospels, John and on occasion a systematic theology elective. He enjoys spending time with his wife and his three small children. He is an elder at Risen King Alliance Church in New City, NY.
