Piano Recital
Matthew Cameron has, in the words of music writer Michel Le Naour, distinguished himself as a figure of "profound musical consciousness", and as one of the major pianistic talents of his generation. His playing has been called "passionate and poetic" and "masterful" by critics, and legendary pianist Cyprien Katsaris lauded his transcriptions and compositions as "works of genius".

Established in 1968, the Wind ensemble is compromised of students, faculty and community musicians performing works for concert band under the direction of Dr Glenn Koponen. Selections by the Nyack Handbell choir, directed by Jennifer Scott, will also be performed.

TRIO IN RESIDENCE
The Amasi Trio with violinist Prof. Sungrai Sohn, cellist Dr. Chungsun Kim and Dr. Tammy Lum is the resident trio of the Nyack College School of Music. Since the inception of the group in the early nineties, The Amasi Trio has performed a wide range of repertoire from the Western and Asian literature. The group has performed in the Beethoven Festival in New York, the Sarah Lawrence College Concert Series and with the Sarah Lawrence Chamber Orchestra, St. Paul’s Festival, the Nyack College Concert Series as well as in young people’s concerts. Their music will feature piano trios by Chaminade. Rachmaninoff, Piazzollo and Horatio Parker.

Christmas Carols and seasonal music featuring the Nyack College Women’s Chorale, Handbell Choir, and Brass Ensemble under the direction of Jennifer Scott and Dr. Glen Koponen. Concludes with the deeply moving Candlelight service, a tradition since 1948.
