Welcome to the College of Bible and Christian Ministry

Dr. Ron Walborn
Dean, Alliance Theological Seminary and College of Bible and Christian Ministry
B.A. Nyack College, M.Div. Alliance Theological Seminary , D.Min.  Fuller Theological Seminary

The aim of the College of Bible and Christian Ministry is to equip students to accurately handle the Word of God, train them with missional skills and impart spiritual gifts in order to bring personal transformation and help each of them fulfill his or her destiny in God’s Kingdom.

Dr. John A Quelch, Dean of the London Business School, once said of their educational institution, “We are not in the education business.  We are in the transformation business.  We expect everyone who participates in a program at the London Business School to be transformed by the experience.”  Our prayer is that every student who comes through Nyack College and takes the required core courses in the Bible/Ministry Core as well as any other College of Bible and Christian Ministry courses would be personally transformed so that they in turn could bring the transforming power of Christ to the world around them.  We want our students at Nyack to get more than an education.  We want the Holy Spirit to empower their transformation.

The College of Bible and Christian Ministry is comprised of five Departments:

  1. Biblical & Theological Studies
  2. Cross-Cultural Studies
  3. Pastoral Ministry
  4. Youth Ministry & Christian Education

While all of our faculty and various programs at Nyack are committed to Christ and fulfilling His Great Commission, the College of Bible and Christian Ministry faculty recognize their unique role in keeping the flames of spiritual passion burning brightly on our campuses.  We seek to fulfill the five core values of Nyack by producing students who exalt Jesus Christ and fulfill His mission by being: Socially Relevant, Academically Excellent, Globally Engaged, Intentionally Diverse, and Personally Transformed.
