During Homecoming 2008, we commemorated the 40th anniversary of the martyrdom of seven Nyack College alumni who lost their lives during the Vietnam War.  Families of the martyrs were present to receive the posthumous recognition.

Nyack President Michael ScalesReaching Milestones Commencement 2009 was a glorious day! Our 550 graduates—literally surrounded by a great crowd of witnesses—were absolutely euphoric as they crossed the stage at Westchester County Center. On the "pride" barometer, I think I was running neck and neck with their families and friends. I am so proud of the accomplishments of our new alumni! Each one has a unique story and that tapestry of testimonies crosses racial, age, gender, and socio-economic lines. They started differently, but they all made it to the finish...
