As a high school yearbook photographer, I discovered that a camera was a great tool for meeting, and flattering young girls. I actually followed one of those girls to the Rochester Institute of Technology, where I lost track of her, but nevertheless graduated with a BS in Professional Photography in 1975. I finally got serious about the God who loved me that same year. I left college for New York City where I opened my first commercial studio. That same year I began to assist established photographers in New York to learn different styles, and methods of running a business. I ran that studio from 1975 through 1989, when a less than stellar business sense, and outrageous overhead forced me to close in New York. God is funny sometimes. In 1989, a young nephew gave me a Sunday paper that he had left over. In there was an ad for a studio photographer. I answered that ad, and ended up beating out 200 other photographers who also responded. That ad resulted in a 15-year career with Nabisco Inc, and Kraft Foods Group as the senior photographer and manager of the New Jersey studios. The year 2005 presented the opportunity to teach an introduction to digital photography course at Nyack College, as well as a studio lighting course at William Paterson University. 2005 also begins the second year for Bill Truran Productions LLC. ~ Professor Zeta Dawson-Godboalt was born in Brooklyn, New York and was raised by Adelle and James Tabourn.
